My daughter had managed to get a wedge of paper trapped in her printer. She waited until we visited, so we could help her get it out.
This was on each sheet of paper:
Rather than throw the paper away I decided to be "creative" with it

Welcome to Friday! Leanne here, and I hope that you're all enjoying the start of your weekend, and maybe settling down to do some crafting :)
But sometimes, no matter how ready we are, and how badly we want to create, it just doesn't happen. Mojo deserts us. And for those times, there's CASEing. That's a term I've only learned since joining the SU sisterhood, but a concept that we are all familiar with: Copy And Share Everything!
That was my problem recently, I wanted to make a wedding layout with clusters of embellishments and, whilst musing on what I'd do, I bought my first magazine in over 12 months (honest, I've been so good, sticking to my free Pinterest!). I flicked through and immediately saw the perfect layout- great colours, composition, vintage but not too grungy... And I decided that I could spend hours wondering how to do my own, or I could just give myself permission to make myself one just like it. So I did, using as many scraps as I could, stamping my own paper, and drawing on my Thickers!

So go ahead.
Give credit where it's due, and then shamelessly recreate somebody else's masterpiece. Why not? It's a ready thought-out project, planned, measured, and composed. You don't have to think, work out a colour scheme, or a title. Just go with what's there! And I promise it will either leave you with a finished item to be proud of, and a sated creative appetite, OR - even better - it might just kick-start your creative juices! You may end up with something nothing like the original, but that doesn't matter; Like sketches and challenges, let them inspire you into creation. And don't forget to thank your muse, and let them know how they have inspired you, because it'll mean a lot to them :)

I wanted to share with you a Wreath I made using the gorgeous Samaflora paper roses.
I started with an MDF blank, which I painted cream and then stamped silver leaves using a hand carved stamp I'd made :
I added clusters of roses and leaves with florishes and butterflies inbetween:

As an alternative to a hanging wreath you can use it as a table centre:

Hi everyone! Lisa here to share with you not one but TWO cards today. I have the terrible habit of not being able to make up my mind when it comes to all things artsy, so I wind up creating the same thing in more than one shade. That's what happened here.
I hadn't made a clear card in so long, I forgot how much I liked them! These cards have white die-cuts inside to write on, and everything on the card was created by hand rather than using a purchased embellishment. I die cut the front panels and used stencils and paste to create the leopard or zebra print background. The ribbon and flowers were dyed by me, and I stamped on the ribbon for the greeting as well.

Hello Everyone - Happy Friday!
Well, hopefuly the sun is shining, the birds are singing (although I'm not happy they're nesting in our roof!), and it's got the makings of a great day - because I've something summery to share :)
It's a quick card that I prepared whilst hoping the weather would work out, using punch art, or in my case die art, where you make your own embellishments or characters from cut shapes.
I simply cut out pieces of blue card using a hydrangea head style die. I inked the edges in yellow, green and pink, to try and get a more natural colour, as I love the variegated petals, and then added a little sparkle to the centres (Clear gems, coloured with a yellow marker).
I used another die to cut a frame, which I raised up on foam for dimension. The branches are from my bird punch, and I thought they added a little interest. Finally, a stamped greeting on a few foam pads to curve it finished off the card nicely.

The time has come for the tooth fairy to start visiting our house again. Rosa (that's her name) has collected Emma's first tooth and will return it to me when she has removed the magic,so I need somewhere to store these little treasure!! Enter an old Altoids tin that has lurked in my stash for some time.
I wanted a magical little place so have filled the tin with pva beads and a delicate little blossom.
Once it has dried it gives me a lovely sparly base to store the teeth!

I've decorated the lid with buttons and various embellishmentsand a little stamping.
Now I have a lovely little trinket box for Emma to open one day and marvel at how tiny her little teeth were, although I;m going to be doing it myself until then!

Our new neighbour has a little boy and is expecting a little girl very soon.We were talking about housework and all the pressure to have a tidy house as well as looking after two children under two years old. I found this little poem online ages ago, thought it offered very good advice, and decided to make her a little hanging plaque with it on.
The paper rose was made using a punch and the pearl dots finish off the border around the writing.
I'm not very happy with the writing, if my computer had not died at the time, I would have printed the poem out instead.
I used mount board ribbon and off cuts of paper. I hope she likes it. I would love to hear any other poems offering good advice.

Do you ever want to scrap photo that just don't need patterned paper- but kind of do?? I had the flower ones all ready to scrap and just didn't have paper that did them justice. So it's not a new idea but just one I keep forgetting is really good. Making your own patterned paper with plain cardstock that has a core.
There are some gorgeous ones with contrast cores but I kept it plain with just a hint of pattern. If you haven't done it yourself, a flower shape underneath and a liberal sanding make just enough difference to the page to stop it being too simple.

It's my lovely Dad's birthday tomorrow and men are notoriously difficult to make cards for- but the odd few do like their garden and window boxes. So I've diecut a card with my slice and slipped a packet of seeds in to make a patterned paper. A few extras cut and given stems and you have a card perfect for any green fingered family or friends.

It's toot toot Tuesday and I wanted to share with you a new paint I've discovered.
Back in June I went to the Extravaganza Weekend at the Craft Barn and saw Pebeo Fantasy Paints demonstrated. There are two Fantasy Moon, which gives you a flat pearly effect and Fantasy Prisme, which gives you a mosaic effect.
My favourite is the Prisme.
Here's a brooch I've made
and some bottle tops I plan to use as the centre of flowers
It does take 6 hours to set, so you have resist checking it but the final effect is gorgeous.
If you get the chance do get yourself some, they give such a different effect.
