I wanted to create a manly party invite for my husbands 50th birthday. It's been a long time since I did invites (or cards) so I decided to keep it simple.
I started by getting some inspiration through the boards of Pinterest (don't you just love that site!!). Once I had decided on the design I used PowerPoint to type it up. As I was printing two on an A4 sheet of paper I put a light coloured box around each invite so I could use my paper trimmer to cut them out without any measuring.
His birthday treat is a motorbike road trip through the mountains of Spain and morocco so I found a great little motorbike stamp on eBay and stamped an image on the bottom right hand corner of both the card and envelope. The invite is then inked (gotta have inked edges), and glued to the inside of the card. I used firm card in green, orange and blue.
I love how they turned out!
Thanks for popping by :) Caz xx
PS. My post next month will be mums coat progress and hopefully (!!) finished pictures. It turned out to be a much bigger undertaking than I thought so its taking longer to finish.
Those are cool invites - and get well soon to your mum! xxx
