Wooden owl

Hi Lynne here, I was in Hobbycraft and picked up one of those balsa wood animal kits to have a play with.

 I covered each piece with walnut distress stain and then stamped in coffee archival ink with a feather texture stamp.

The fun part was sticking it all together, as I'd separated every piece to stain it

 Here's the finished result:

 

 

 I'm really pleased with the result. 

 I have a dolphin to make next.

So if you see something plain and want to Jazz it up, add some ink and a bit of stamping and see what a great result you can achieve.
