Hi all Erika here with a little card crafting for you.
This last week I have been playing with the new Spellbinder 3D folders, what fun!Now I thought as I live by the sea I would share with you the Shell folder which I absolutely love, it can be used for all manor of cards and it would also make a good canvas, don't you think?
This first card I have inked the folder with Distress stain Antique linen before putting through my calibur with white card. I have then added more ink around the edges and on the main shell to blend the whole image together. The sentiment stamp is by MME and I have used an Edgeabilities from Spellbinder to create the scalloped edge. I really like the simplicity of using these new folders, just a slight touch of colour can make all the difference and the shells really do pop off the page.
This second card I have gone in with a darker ink using Vintage photo and Brushed corduroy Distress inks. I wanted to give an antique feel about the card. I then used a mask to add Holographic super sparkle embossing powder on the large shell.
Two cards, similar colour palette but both looking completely different.
What do you do with your embossing folders?
I'd love to hear.
I've even been know to use them with my cake decorating. They give great texture to fondant icing.
That's all from me this time, happy crafting,
Erika.
What a great way to showcase the versatility of one folder - thank you for the inspiration x
