Happy Saturday crafters! I'm Lisa and I'm super excited to share my first project here at It's A Creative World! I'm a cardmaker who likes to think outside the box. Like the skirt on my dressform's ball gown. Any ideas what it's made out of?
Need a closer look? :)
I created the ballgown skirt out of Tim Holtz's Snowflake Rosette die! I was making a winter card as a prank for a friend when I looked at the snowflake rosette and thought, this could be a skirt!
The paper I used was originally white. I painted it with metallic paints to get the finish I wanted before assembling the skirt. Dressforms are one of my favorite things to use on my projects.
Thanks so much for looking at my project today. I hope it inspires you to create something outside the box with your dies and embellishments. Happy crafting! --Lisa Bedigian
How clever to use the rosette for the skirt! I thought at first it might be cupcake liners - I've often thought that would be a good use for them. Your dress and card are lovely - thanks for sharing!
