I've recently been experimenting with my die cutting machine to see how many different things I can cut with my dies. I've used fusible webbing ironed on to fabric to make this applique top.
And here I used felt to make this applique flower on an upcycled sweater hot water bottle cover.
I also created this raw silk flower for a hairband using Mod Podge to stiffen the fabric first - although you can buy fabric stiffener - I was just using what I had.
I have a few more ideas on my list still to try but I just wanted to get you thinking of ways that you can use your dies other than for papercraft. I hope this has inspired you to try out something different.
All these flower dies are from Tonic Studios, and you can learn more about each project over at Blog Tonic.
I love the sweet top, a lovely way to pretty up a plain top, and the silk flower hairband is so classy. (I do like the hottle cover but heartily glad that maybe we can put them away soon :) )
