It's Dolly here, to open our special welcome back Easter 'eggstravaganza', bursting with all kinds of projects from the girls.
All of us at IACW would like to welcome our readers back to what we know is going to be a fabulous relaunch.
The girls are all itching to share their creativity in their own unique ways.
We are blessed to have such an amazing team who can craft and create in so many different ways and you can guarantee there will be plenty to inspire you this year.
On to the crafting. As it was an Easter relaunch I have a selection of the simplest Easter cards ever, meaning you really do have time to create in time to send them out.
This first is a simple decoupage card using a single stamped sentiment.
The mulberry paper background softens the card and just used a scrap of mulberry paper, The tip here for a lovely frayed edge is to 'cut' it with water. I use a paint brush and brush water where I want the paper 'cut' and then when it is wet it tears beautifully with that fluffy edge.
The sentiment was stamped onto card and then cut out and coloured with chalks.
All I did with this one was asemble it, add a stamped sentiment on coordinating card and mount it all on the deep red cardstock.
And another useful tip - I keep a cigarette lighter in my scrap room. No, I don't smoke ... it's just perfect for sealing the ends of ribbon to stop it fraying.
The next two are really simple pyramage cards. I found a sheet in a reduced basket at a local store.
I simply mounted it on red cardstock and added a stamped sentiment and candy dot.
and this one didn't even need a sentiment - it was already there. I only added a ribbon bow.
The next is a simple stamped image, coloured with Spectrum pens and mounted.
And finally another decoupage card.
Again really simple to do. I mounted the decoupage image, added some coordinating torn patterned papers, s stamped sentiment and two of the candy dots.
Plenty of time to get those cards made in time for Sunday.
Happy Easter everyone and watch out for the next post - it is going to be a bumper weekend from the IACW girls.
A perfect start to our Easter weekend!
