Hi Dolly here.
Those of you who know me know I love both my paper and my digital scrapping and there are often occasions where I do something digitally and then want to replicate it in some way on paper. I hadn’t really realised I did that much until there was a challenge with a group of friends recently to scraplift someone’s digital pages and make a paper page.
The gallery chosen as the scraplift was Suzanne Torr aka fruitysuet. You can see her UKS gallery here.
Suzanne was an awesome paper scrapper (and still is) and when she moved to digital as well, she was equally stunning.
I chose one of her layouts to lift.
You have to look closely in some cases to see the lift as I generally paper scrap in US letter format rather than 12 x 12 and so there was a bit of jiggery pockery but this is my lift of Suzanne’s page.
I have a second example to share. I made this digital page as a challenge on day and I liked the effect and so went on to duplicate it as a paper page.
Again it is modified as the paper page is rectangular not square.
And a second more recent example where the digi came first and the paper followed.
I will also often plan my pages digitally – just the placement of the photos – on the computer first so I get the size I want when I print the pictures. I find it a useful tool and the two forms of scrapping compliment each other really well. I am attaching a link to my digital album HERE - maybe you will see if there is something that inspires you to scraplift and create a paper page.
Have fun and let me know if you scraplift one - either of mine or of Suzanne's so I can visit and admire!
Hi Dolly great LO's, I miss scrapbooking I really must try and fit it in.
Hugs Erika.

Thanks for sharing, I don't do digi but love the way you've replicated it in paper.

To be honest, Dolly, I have a hard job telling if your layouts are digi or paper in the first place, lol, as your digi, and Suzanne's too, is so dimensional. Like Erika, I miss scrapbooking, and I wonder if learning digi might be achievable for me. I know that wasn't the point of your post, :D but the only reason I'm not scrapping now is lack of room, disorganised stash storage and apathy.
