Tags on tuesday

Good morning to all you creative peeps

 

Inspired by the recent change in the weather and a step into spring with sunny skies and a warmer temperature I was inspired to create a seasonal decorative piece. 

 

I started out with a sheet of cream card, which I cut into quarters, so each tag measures 10.5cm x 14.8cm, I chopped off the corners at the top, to create the basic tag shape and made holes for the ribbon.

 

Each tag was then stamped with an all over design, I made holes around the perimeter with a pokey tool and used a brown pen to create some faux stitching.

 

I made a slide mount for each tag by cutting the basic shape from brown card, I ran it through an embossing folder for texture, dry brushed with white acrylic paint and then added a little rock candy stickles. To this I added acetate and a scrap of paper behind and stamped the season and added this to the front.

 

Finally I raided my embellishment drawers for some pretties to finish off the tags.

 

I hope you are all enjoying the changing of the seasons as much as I am ( my thermals are relegated to the second drawer in my wardrobe but not banished to the attic just yet)

These are just wonderful, and such beautifully clear photos show them off so well.
To answer your question, for me, Spring = spring cleaning = really busy at work = :(
so, much as I love the season in terms of what is happening in the great outdoors, I don't have as much time as I would like to be creative, although I flick the feather duster very artistically.

Hello Tracey, this is a lovely idea, Thank you.You could also use this idea to make other tags to remind you of special occasions. eg. Birthday tag, Holiday tag, You've passed driving test/exams etc.tags, Prom tag, You're a grandma tag. You could add a small photo or ticket or small memento of the special day. Lots of ideas springing to mind. Can't wait to get crafting!! Take care, Val x

Very Sweet tags ... Are you going to use them on something perhaps seasonal Layouts !
Yes i think seasons do change my mindset on colours i use sometimes and the diamond stickles comes out a lot more when it is cold lol :)
