Here's my latest finished crochet project, again from my fave Crochet muse Lucy at Attic24!
It's Lucy's Blooming Flower Cushion! Free pattern available at Lucy's Blog!!
I used her recommended wool Stylecraft Special DK yarn which is a FABULOUS price and comes in lots of colours as well as being really soft!
I followed Lucy's photo tutorial on her blog which gives excellent instructions on how to create the cushion.
Like my crochet bag (also pictured above) this was, for me a large project, It's taken a good few days solid crocheting but I've really enjoyed the challenge!
The stitches themselves were straight forward but for me I usually like a small project so this was the challenge for me!
After I finished the flower front to the cushion I croched the back- a circle in matching colours which I've just done in U.S double crochet. Again following the instructions on Lucy's blog I crocheted both pieces together sandwiching a round cushion pad between them!
I know have a fun cushion that goes with the colours on my living room curtains- it's really pulling the various colours of the room together now!
I'm now working on another Lucy pattern another cushion using her Neat Ripple pattern HERE
I've had a great time using this pattern although the first row was a little tricky because it was crocheted into the foundation chain (the underneath loops) but a bit of poking at the loops with a thick needle helped!
Here is the front which is awaiting the back piece to be done!
I'm distracted wih a baby blanket at the moment- so many projects , so few hands!!
Happy crafting!
