My inspiration for today is cupcakes....but the calorie free variety :) I made this one a long while ago, but I was reminded of it recently (mainly as my sister would really like one for her birthday). Cherry390 over on Ukscrappers made one and then emailed me the tutorial here is Cherry390s.
You will need
polysterene ball
cardboard
flowers
ribbon
red bead
bulldog clip
needle and thread
water spray (optional)
glue gun
glitter (optional)
along with scissors and guillotene etc.
The tutorial is on utube by Tresa Black so here is the link to the cupcake tutorial. I love that her tutorial is really straightforward to follow, complete with a comic introduction (this has one mild piece of bad language in it, so if you are with kids either listen to it 1st or mute it 'til the tutorial starts - just the sort of language that would give it a PG rating rather than U in a cinema) You can use up all sorts of scraps and make a really beautiful gift for someone special.
