What have I got for you today?
When I have time I like to hop on over to the "Less is More" blog and join in with their regular challenges. Unfortunately with Christmas, visitors and work this is the first time for a while I have been able to have a go. The idea for those of you who haven't been over is to strip your card right back to the bones....which is sometimes harder than it sounds. The present sketch is;
This is finishing tomorrow so if you fancy joining you'll need to be super quick. Do read their guidelines too if you are not sure on what is required. Here is my simple card;
I have used Distress ink Tea dye and Antique linen, stamps by PI, glitter by Martha Stewart and butterfly by Spellbinders. I masked the area of the card I wanted to work on and then started inking. Nice and simple.
As February is the month of LOVE (bar humbug!) I couldn't go without a heart themed craft. This is a garland I made with inspiration from Pinterest for a pals birthday gift earlier this year.
And a close up;
For the garland I have used double-sided papers by gcd studio Paris Nights. I really now want to make myself one but will I get it done in time for Valentine's day? It is really easy to make and is just different lengths of the same width card.
That's all for me today, happy crafting,
Erika
I love the card you have made very 'In' at the moment.
I have made those heart garlands before using Book paper & a Scallop Punch but love yours too x

That's a lovely garland, and I really like the simplicity of the card too. The butterfly looks as if it has just landed!

Brilliant ideas and, not being one to buck the trend, I too adore that garland!
