This year I decided to have a go at Project Life created by Becky Higgins (you can sign up for free on Big Picture Classes, if you want to join the forum). I'm not doing a weekly page, but a monthly double page spread, there is lots of lovely inspiration out there and people taking part - have a look over at Ali Edwards' blog, or Amy Tangerine's blogs too for more ideas.
I got some WRMK divided scrapbook pages which come in a mix pack, there are lots of other brands of split pages in all sorts of arrangements. I cut some 6" by 4" papers using the AC Amy Tangerine line and then decorated each square with all sorts of items. The January title and big out doors title I cut on my craft robo using the Ali Edwards free font and then did all sorts of lovely welding to make it work. The nice thing about project life is that the windows/pockets are small and so feel slightly easier to fill if you are worried about doing a whole scrapbook page. Also it allows for lots more journalling (something that I don't do enough of), so I have documented all sorts of things, and made a little pocket for tickets (it's great for all that memorobillia that Dolly mentionned in her previous post). The other thing I like is that the album can take any shape or form you want, you can add your own 12" by 12" pages or slip an 8" by 8" page inbetween the 12" by 12" pocket pages. If you don't have/want to get the pocketed pages but like the look, then just design your own 12" page along the same block pattern lines - which also works really well if you want to have a go at it digitally.
So if you want some more inspiration here are a few links that I found just searching for project life digital project life example, not in the pocket example, more pocket examples and more.
