I have a collection of beaded decorations I've made over the years and they really make the Christmas tree sparkle. This year I had an email from one of my favourite bead shops with free instructions to make a decoration using Tila beads. (They are square and have 2 holes in them)
This is what mine looks like
I used silver lined crystal seed beads and Tila light gunmetal.
The instructions are HERE
Several years ago I was given a kit from Spellbound Beads as a present and make some each year to give as presents.
Do have a go at making some decorations using your beads, rather than just looking at them (like I do)
I'd also like to share a new tradition in our family. My close friends daughter came to me to make a Christmas cake for the first time last year and said she'd like to come again this year. She makes it from scratch and really enjoys beating the butter and sugar and the mixing. Like me she likes glitter and now we've discovered edible glitter, have lots of fun decorating.
Here's this years offering:
(This was made and decorated by a 6 year old)
Have a magical Christmas.
