Finished Ripple Blanket

I've finally finished my daughters ripple blanket, it was my first attempt at crochet & I really enjoyed making it, & am happy to say DD loves snuggling under it, so here it is...

 

It's was supposed to be for her bed, but she would rather snuggle under it whilst watching a DVD or reading a book. (I photographed it on my bed as you couldn't see the blanket for the toys on her bed - Why is my duvet cover so creased? That's freshly ironed!!)

I decided to continue the ripple pattern on the border so it's ripply all the way round. I also like the little knobbly bits in the pattern.

 

So that was my first attempt at crocheting a ripple blanket. I've also just heard that my friend had given birth to a bouncing baby girl, so I'm off to the wool shop to buy some pink wool for a little ripple blanket.
