Hiya Claireliz here
You know that feeling that you've forgotten something & can't remember what it was no matter how hard you try, well I've had that feeling all week & finally remembered at 10.30pm last night what it was I'd forgotten. I knew that 2 of my colleagues that I have worked with for 10 years were leaving work due to redundancy & was horrified to discover that what I'd forgotten to do was make cards for them to wish them well. Now bearing in mind it was 10.30pm & I turn into a pumpkin if I'm not in bed before 11.30pm & there was no way I was walking into work without a card for them both so some super speedy card making was in order I rummaged through my stash & found some digi papers & sentiments that I had printed out & a stamp that came as a freebie with a magazine. With a little bit of double sided sticky tape, some ink & a couple of Promarkers I came up with these...
I wanted to make the cards the same as both of the ladies work together & I didn't want them thinking I would miss one more than the other if one card was better than the other one.
They were both really simple to make & each one took about 10 minutes - a record for me, especially as I'm not really a card maker. So I was still in bed by 11pm & had 2 cards to give to my colleagues, now that's what I call a result. (phew!)
Thanks for taking the time to visit us over on IACW today & hope to see you soon.

Wow, you are a speedy card maker.
Lovely cards, I hope they both like them.

I'm not a huge Cardmaker either. Love the fact these are speedy to make and effective too. tfs

Great cards, bright and modern. I think half the battle is being able to lay your hands on your supplies quickly, without a 3 hour search to locate everything you need, *roll eyes*.

Hi Viv, Thanks for the lovely comment.
I used my Sizzix die cutting machine & the Quickutz cookie cutter scalloped square dies, you get three sizes in a pack, however it is possible to do it without a die cutting machine, draw a square onto the back of some paper or card then draw the small scallops around the edge, I tend to start by drawing a circle over each of the 4 corners first, then draw in the little scallops, if it looks a bit uneven when it's been cut out I just doodle stitching around the edges, it draws the eye away from any imperfections :D Hope that helps.
