Ali here,
Google is our friend, Google translate is also our friend, without these tools i wouldn't have discovered the many, many foreign language craft blogs on the internet.
There are many fantastic Dutch,Danish and Norwegian language blogs out there, amongst others, and it is my blog hopping activities that have led to the discovery of ''The Book''.
''The Book''
this is a ''THE BOOK''
which is,rather than a book,a deep dimensional box, with raised sides.perfect for little sweeties and things.
by Wenche,
who has her instructions posted here
http://wenchespapirverden.blogspot.com/2010/11/tutorial-pa-bok-eske.html
if you look back into her blog, there are several stunning stunning versions,
I love the vintage santa one!
there are many many more examples to be found here
this is by a ''Mette''
http://vintageudfordring.blogspot.com/2011/01/udfordring-16.html
which also has a tutorial for making a book
this is by a lady called ''Benita''
they are truly special works of art,and seeing as the instructions were provided-admittedly translated by Google- I decided to try and make one of my own.
I made the cover with no problems at all, but with the limited use of my fingers still.there was just no way that i could mange to accord ian fold a 13cm x 9cm piece of card every 1/2 cm!
there has to be an easier way...
anyway, while I try to figure it out,and get back to you with it at a later date, you could always try looking here
http://piabau.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
at Pia's blog,which is a trove of loveliness,including this.
and finally this one,but i don't know who created this version, it maybe a lady called Ragnhild.
I'm sure you'll agree, gorgeous work by very very talented ladies.
Ladies,i have tried to contact you to tell you that you are featured on the IACW blog, sadly,i couldn't find contact details for you all-if i didn't get in touch I just want you to know i am in awe of your talents, and wanted to share your works with our readers.
xxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Oh how beautiful Im off to have a look at the blogs. Have you tried a trimmer with a scoring blade? I have a small fiskars trimmer that I leave permanently with a scoring blade because it is so accurate. x

My goodness these are so lovely, thank you for bringing them to our attention, and other such delights to be seen on those blog links.
How sad that you are still having trouble with your hands, it must be so disheartening not to be able to do the things you long to do. I do hope you turn the corner with this problem.
