Happy new year everyone!! I hope 2011 is full of love laughter and happiness!
Please excuse the odd format of my post but I'm still without broadband so I'm posting from my phone.
Infinity scarves or snoods are very popular these days and the Internet is full of patterns.
I am having difficulty leaving a link so type mobius/infinity scarf into google for the original pattern by Sarah E White.
I have retyped the pattern below but please don't forget to credit the creator of the pattern if you are going to recreate and not me. Thanks :)
Cast on an even number of stitches depending on your prefered length and yarn type. I used a 5mm circular needle and cashmarino Aran weight yarn. I made 2, one of 300 stitches which loops 3 times and one of 150 stitches which loops once.
Row 1: knit
Row 2: purl
Row 3: knit
Row 4: purl
The following 6 rows form pattern
Row 5: *yarn over, knit 2 together. Repeat * to end
Row 6: purl
Row 7: knit
Row 8: purl
Row 9: knit
Row 10: purl
Repeat rows 5 to 10 for desired width.
To finish:
Purl 1 row
Knit 1 row
Purl 1 row
Knit bind off
Happy knitting.
