Like Suzanne who has made her tags already for next year, I have decided to get ahead and alter an advent calendar for my nephews now. I know if I wait until I get the decorations down next year I will run out of time.
I originally got this from Tesco a few years ago, it is made from very sturdy cardboard.
I covered the edges of the tree with card-stock.
I found it helped creasing the card first before sticking it down with very strong tape. I used an ATG gun but strong double sided tape would work just as well.I took all the drawers out to cover them with Christmassy papers.
I had lots of Christmas stickers so used those to stick on the drawers once they were covered.
I then cut numbers from glittery card-stock.
I need to finish the other one now, and I haven't decided whether to go for a completely different colour scheme. I hope they like them.

I wish I'd managed to get one of those.
I'm sure your nephews will love them.
You really are well organised. (I wish I was)

Isn't she? The red and green is still the best Christmas colour scheme in my book, can't beat tradition. It's a fab advent calendar, I wonder if mine will be done any year soon!
