Hi, it's Kel here and I hoped to be ready. I wanted to have something fun on the go to inspire you in the run up to Christmas. But. But life is bumpy sometimes. And the past couple of months have been bumpy for me. So I'm not ready to share any Christmas with you.
On the other hand, some of you may be feeling like I am, a little behind, a little overwhelmed, unable to do the fun stuff because you're dealing with the rough stuff. In which case, this might help you as much as it helped me.
This isn't so much about Buddhism as about meditation. Over the past few years, this is something that I've grown more interested in. Meditation is so helpful in knowing yourself, your own inner weather, and helping you to deal with those bumps in the road, to shrug off useless fretful worrying and find a deeper strength. Sometimes even taking a couple of minutes out of your day, in the middle of the workday stress or the pre-Christmas frenzy, to breathe and focus on your breath and place yourself here in the moment is enough to bring calm and strength into your day.
What I love about this layout is that it gives me the same feeling of calm when I look at it. Thanks for stopping by, I hope it gave you a little space of calm in your day.
xx
I hope life smoothes out for you soon Kel. It is important to stop and breathe but I often think women in particular just keep going at 100 miles an hour!

Thank you for sharing your calm with us, Kel, it's beautiful, and for giving us all permission to acknowledge pressure, overwhelm and exhaustion.
xx

It did, Kel - lots of calm - and a really interesting perspective not just in the photo but in your writing. I am not doing C...S until it's nearly here. If then! Glad to find another soul who is having a rest in lots of ways too ...
