Hi Joy here,
every year I like to send in present for the teachers and teaching assistants. I always make a little something and each year they say they are looking forward to seeing what it will be. I hope none of them are peeking here!
I decided to make a wrapping that becomes a Christmas tree ornament.
First I cut out two Christmas trees in pink felt, then one slightly smaller in green felt. I actually made the patterns using my Cricut and the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I used the shadow setting for the bigger trees. However it would be simple to cut your own.
I layered the green shape onto one of the pink ones.
I stitched with embroidery thread to add some detail. I used backstitch and just created a very simple freehand shape.
I stitched it to the other pink tree and added a bell and thread to hang it on the tree.
I found these lovely square chocolate bars in Thorntons. They come in all different flavours and coloured boxes.
I wrapped a band of patterned paper round the stack of chocolate bars and then a narrower band of plain cardstock. The decoration was stuck on with glue dots so that it could be easily removed to pop on the tree.
Happy Christmas crafting. xxxxxxxx
Fabulous, and so beautifully co-ordinated.
xx

That's a lovely idea.
I think I might adapt it and put it on a card.
