II have my Mumold button box, I love just running my hands through it and seeing what comes to the surface :)

This is beautiful, you have lovely buttons too. I used to love rummaging through my grandmother's button box although Im not sure what happened to it.

I played with the buttons in my Mum's tin and the best memory was of a carved (soap) chess pawn which my Dad made. I don't know why it was (and probably still is) in her button tin. Great memory.
