I was very fortunate to be given an album with the most amazing family photos to scan. The first challenge though was to get the photos out. They were stuck fast and I was so scared of ruining these beautiful relics.
A bottle of undo later and I had them out and ready to scan.
And once scanned I vowed not to return them in the same state. Scrapping originals is scary business so I cleared my desk of anything that could potentially cause damage and made sure any glues I used were handled with care. Can you imagine if I had dropped a blob of glossy accepnts on someones face! YIKES!!
(Please excuse the slightly 'flashy' photos, in my excitment to get the album ready to send back to my aunt, I put all the pages into the album before I photographed them!)
Each page is very simple, because I didn't want to detract from the focus on the photographs.
I've been collecting 'old' paper and embellishments for ages now, so it was a treat to finally use some.
It was an absolute treat and privilage to have had a hand in preserving these photos and keeping them safe for future generations.
Thanks for stopping by!

beautiful, and they go so well with the simple pages you've done.
I spent ages scanning my moms photos & slides, & have offered to do the same with my MILs as shes terrorfied of something happening to them.

Gorgeous. Photos from that era are so beautiful aren't they? Makes everyone look like film stars!

A truly fascinating clutch of photos - doesn't everyone always look so elegant in old photos! And you've made a beautiful job of scrapping them ...

That's just beautiful and Caz, I am sure I see a family resemblance there. Even before I knew it was your post, I saw your face and was delighted to see that they were your family pictures.
