Hi everyone. Dolly here with another ‘recycled idea’ for a mini book.
This one makes the perfect gift for a friend.
I had an old CD tin that was just begging to be transformed into something a whole lot nicer.
Firstly I painted the tin with gesso and then with pink sugary paint. (I used a Blonde Moments paint I had had for years)
I added ribbons and flowers round the lip and on the lid to make it pretty and then using different pink papers and cards I set about filling the tin.
I didn’t want to use photos, just quotes, so that I could make it a friendship tin.
I cut the circles from cardstock, using small tabs at the sides to join them, then covered them with different papers.
I printed various quotes on the computer and then added them to the pages, finishing off with embellishments.
Making a tin like this is really quick and simple, but they make lovely gifts for people.
You could theme them for all sorts of occasions.
Have fun recycling more old tins.
Lovely box, I bet your friend was delighted.

Such a pretty gift, would make a truly unique special sort of 'card' for an expectant or new mother, with appropriate poems and colours of course. Delightful.
