I do love my charity shop and car boot sale bargains. I recently picked up a simple, plain, pale grey/green cardigan for 50pence, which needed a little brightening.
So I found a length of white cotton lace, spritzed it randomly with several colours of watery pearlescent acrylic in a mini mister, line dried it and hand stitched it all around the band and neck.
I wanted it to have a chintzy feel, if you know what I mean, sort of afternoon tea and French fancies on a china stand. I wanted to be able to wear it with cotton print dresses and skirts.
I turned to the buttons, how to fancy them up? I found six colours of seed beads and stitched them in little clusters on top of the buttons, and I was done.
Is it time for tea?

PS. I know the crocs aren't exactly fancy cakes, but by golly they're comfy!
Lovely cardi & your crocs are a perfect match too :)
