Hi, it's Caz here, and today i'm sharing not my own receipe or something totally original, but an old favourite and a first for me!
School holidays are coming up and this is a simple one for the kiddies that will keep them occupied for a whole morning! Plus it's a great way to get the imaginations going.....
Yes folks it's rice crispy cakes. Now I knew they were easy but boy I didn't imagine they are SO easy.
While my chocolate was melting.....
I laid out the cupcake wrappers....
And filled a plastic container with rice crispies and mini marshmallows.....
Melted chocolate smells so AWESOME!
YUMMY!!
Since making this first batch I have made a few more. It's such fun thinking of different things to add that completely changes the flavour. Just this last weekend we added a handful (or 6) of malteasers to the melted chocolate. Don't leave them on the heat too long or the honeycombe will melt! They were DELISH!
I would love to hear about what you add to yours!
Thanks for visiting!!

And I thought I'd made every possible creation, involving rice crispies, that was ever invented, but you've given us a new one to try. I might add tiny fudge squares (Devon fudge, what other sort is there? cut into little cubes) but then again I might just try it Cazesque.

Ooh yes, do I remember these! We used to add raisins. Sometimes we added deseeded half-grapes, and they were surprisingly nice too!

Here in Australia they're a kid's staple - we call them chocolate crackles! We add "copha" to the mix too. It's a vegetable shortening made from coconut and it makes the chocolate less hard and much easier to work with. I think it's hard to get outside Australia and New Zealand though. If you can get your hands on it though - try it out and you'll love the result! :D
