Hello Joy here,
just back from a lovely holiday in St. Ives. Probably the best seaside town in the UK.
It was sunny too. Which was an added bonus after all the snow! Look at that blue sky. The boys even went surfing!
As I am still recovering from broken ribs I had to take part in less strenuous activities. I finally learned to knit a sock on 4 needles. A friend showed us how to make these lovely necklaces. I will ask her to share the method with you here.
I took far too many photos and have spent all week editing them. Six families went on holiday together so between us we have hundreds! I decided to put all mine onto discs to share with the others and put together this CD holder to store them.
It is made from felt and some beads that I found in St. Ives. I used a CD case as a pattern. I drew round it and cut out two layers of felt in contrasting colours.
I cut wavy pockets to house the CDs. I then stitched the layers together with blanket stitch.
I used some leather thong to tie the cover together. I am going to make one for each family. That will keep me busy for a while.
Happy March. I know St. David's Day was yesterday but I thought I would finish with a lovely picture of some daffodils I snapped last week.
Take care & happy crafting xxx
Looks gorgeous, as St Ives always does, and can't believe the boys are in the water!
CD cases are a lovely gift, hope you are mending gradually.

Love the way you've picked up on the seaside theme with the wavy blue felt, and the little (wooden?) fish - just perfect! What a lovely gift for each of the families ...
