Hi everyone.
Dolly here with a quick simple gift idea.
Today’s make is really really simple and really really cheap and yet makes
a cute little gift.
I made this one for a friend’s daughter who was off to university.
She loves animals and so I wanted to make a little gift that she could take with her and would give her a little smile if and when she felt homesick as she settled in.
I bought a little gift box for less than 50p from a small gift and card shop. There are so many of these boxes around. I have one on my desk from Next which is leopard print …. You can guess what is going in that one soon LOL
I decorated the outside of the box with ribbon and flowers – in this case making it good and girly for a very girly girl.
I made a small strip of cardstock and accordion folded it to fit the box.
I cut small rectangles of patterned papers and inked the edges before mounting them on the cardstock.
All that remains is to add photos and message.
It is a really quick, simple and cost effective gift just to say you are thinking of someone.
Here is another version of the same thing – keeping with a mono colour scheme this time.
Have fun making a quick and simple gift box for someone you care about.
I simply didn't think of turning a box on its side, how pretty these are. Am now looking for one to titivate for daughter's birthday next month.
