Happy New Year to all of you. I hope you had a fab Christmas too.
Claire here with an ongoing resolution, in 2009 I resolved to learn to knit, which I did & 3 scarves & 2 hats later, I'm getting the hang of it, This year I will be learning to knit competently, So I plan to knit a big blanket to snuggle under with a hot chocolate & a dvd or book. I decided on a blanket so I could knit different stitches for each panel, but as my blanket has many different colours I decided to do each colour in the same stitch, so the beige will be seed stitch, the purple - cable knit & so on, then I'm going to have to learn to crochet to put a border around the edge.
I need a few more balls of wool & I'm just deciding on the colours. So far I have knitted 2 panels & I'm on to a third...
I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of February but we'll have to wait & see.
But the whole point of this plan is I love knitted cardigans & jumpers, so I want to have started knitting one by November, I just need to practice on the blanket first.
I'll be back later in the month, thanks for stopping by
See you soon
Claire

ummm how big do you want the blanket? It took me a year to knit all the squares for a blanket for a double bed lol
I'd like to try jumpers too so if you pick up any hints ot tips please share
