Everything but the dishes got put away today. BUT, my first husband's birthday was the 28th, so I always tried to sweep christmas away as fast as possible to focus on his birthday for him. I never wanted him to feel like it was a combo thing!

Mine will be down before I go back to work in school on Jan 4th. Love all the decorations you have on your tree. I still have an angel on my tree made by ds when he was 3 (now 18) tree would not be the same without our 'mad axe murdering' angel lurking in the tree.

Well, we'll be keeping ours up until Twelfth Night, since my son and his family arrive in an hour to share the rest of Christmas and New Year with us until the 6th - but we didn't put them up till Christmas Eve. I love the decorations on your tree, especially the little owl! I will certainly give more thought to making my own tree decorations next year - thank-you!

I didn't decorate this year, very unlike me, sigh, but I love the idea of an ornament swap in the coming year.

You have some beautiful tree decorations there, and who needs everything matching anyway? Our tree and decorations come down on Boxing Day (except this year as we have a second Christmas Lunch today for visitors) and all signs of the holiday will be gone by tomorrow.
I have already made a small album about our Christmas Decorations and posted about it here:

we've already had to take our tree down sadly as it was a real one and very ruined, near on needle less!!!! lol
