I've never tried this, oddly, since I love felt work, and even more oddly, since I love carboot sales and could pick up (sometimes already semifelted lol) sweaters for a song. Guess what I'm going to be looking out for in 2010? My goal is 50p or less.
The stocking has a lovely Amish style/country feel.

I love it and the colours you've used. For some reason always thought there was so much more to felting than that! I'm with Eleanor - going to hit the boot fairs and charity shops :D

Love your finished stocking and I'm going to try felting now i know how easy it is!

Rebecca Smisson

that's gorgeous. Hoping to have a go myself but having a really hard time finding proper wool jumpers in my local charity shops :-(
