Tree Cards
One of the definitive images of the Christmas season is surely the Christmas tree. Here are some quick and simple Christmas cards to make featuring that seasonal icon.
Card 1
The card uses an embossed tree – a Cuttlebug folder – which has been embossed on white card and then cut out. The embossed shape is then chalked in a verdegris colour and finally rubbed with gold rub ons and with gold stickles embellishments to add that seasonal sparkle.
Card 2
I had a packet of old toppers that were reduced a few years ago and to add a bit of extra oomph on the card I used different Christmas paper layers, all stitched together, as the base for the topper. Great for using up those scraps we all keep and think we will use one day!
Card 3
I wanted a non traditional card and so used brilliance inkpads to give the frosty shimmery colour on the papertrey stamps.
The red baubles added a bit of zing and I added red sequin stars and a tiny piece of red ribbon.
Card 4
The patterned paper made a perfect border for this card and then the stylised tree in a pot was cut from the same papers and mounted on foam squares.
Card 5
Cutting the large triangles from patterned papers made this card a breeze. All it needed was a scallop border and a stamped sentiment.
Card 6
Back to non traditional colours again for this black and white card. Again the trees were just cut from patterned paper and the scallop border sits on a Stamping Up swirl stamp.
Six quick and easy Christmas Tree cards. Have fun!
