I don't mean to scare anyone but it's that time of year, when we, as crafters, need to start thinking about Christmas. So for the month of October we'll be sharing our decorating, gift, card and presentation ideas.
And i'm starting with a quick easy box that can be filled with goodies and hung on the tree :)
You will need:
Sheets of heavy weight double sided patterned paper. (Chatterbox and BG are good)
Some acetate
A length of co-ordinating ribbon
DST
Ink
and a ruler and pencil.
This example box is 6"x7 3/4". But you can adjust it to suit.
Once you have drawn the outline of your box and cut it out. Score as shown. The 'window' is cut from the 2 1/4" block on the right. That's the front of the box. And you can make it as small or big as you like. Remember to stick your acetate to the inside of your window before you stick the box together.
I also stuck the bottom closure with dst as I want to fill my boxes with M&Ms and they are quite heavy!
If you have time to make 24, these can also be used for advent :)

I love the idea - could make some for my daughter, each to contain knicks or makeup items.
