I am a lazy scrapper, which is why I love the ScrapRoom kits. No worries about finding co-ordinating cardstock and embellishments or trying to pick only a few papers from each range (rather than buying the WHOLE lot!).
I manage at least 2 layouts from each pack which is 8 layouts a month, and sometimes I use black or white cardstock if i've got some paper left over. But once all I have left are scraps, they just sit in my space doing nothing.
Until last month when I was on holiday! The weather was a bit poop so I decided to do some crafting. Imagine my horror when I discovered over twenty, yes 20, baggies of patterned paper scraps taking up precious space on my stash shelf.
So I set about using them. I emptied one bag at a time and used as much of the paper as possible to make cards.
Some baggies had very little embellishment left so had to add a flower here and a brad there, but on the whole I managed to make 2 to 3 complete cards from each baggie.
Finishing up with over 40 cards and no worries about having to make one for at least 6 months!
lol, I have vowed to myself not to let my scraps pile up like that again as my poor back was aching after I sat the whole day.
Card making is a great way to use your scraps!
haPPy creATing!!
