Kel here, probably flying over the Atlantic as you read this.
When I travel, I like to have a journal on the go. I like having the details noted down of dates, places and people and I like having artwork to play with in the relaxed down time of a vacation.
I was a bit disappointed this year, I wasn't really in the mood and everything felt a little stilted. I am trying to teach myself to work through these times and build on my mistakes, so I pushed myself on.
I will probably decorate this, or write on it, but for now, I have my boarding pass safe.
I was more in the mood for art than writing, I may journal on this later about some of my favourite moments.
Actual journalling today!
My Dad often makes sushi for birthday celebrations. I really like this drawing, it makes me think of some of the interesting packaging you see when you travel.
I drew this when I hadn't journalled for days and I knew if I didn't get started again, I would have nothing in the journal at all.
A blind contour drawing of plants seen through the cracks in the veranda.
Summer. Watermelon. Isn't it? Journalling to come...
Mini prints from my pogo printer, perfect for travel journals! Writing to come...
Thanks for looking!
