I saw these teeny pin cushions on An Awfully Big Art Adventure blog a few weeks ago and HAD to have a go!
We get through LOADS of bottles of squash so it was easy to save some bottle tops apart from those you only need a few items:
The fabulous tutorial here for the pincushions- is beautifully explained with clear photos and instructions, you'll be finishing your pincushion in no time at all and they are so quick and easy and make super cute pressies, my eight year old made one herself!
With a few beads, buttons or coloured embroidery threads you can go wild and decorate these beauties how you like! I glued a pearly bead to the top of the pins to make them look prettier then pop them in the finished pin cushions and your done!
Here are a few of the ones I made:
Have fun crafting!
love GlitteryKatie :)
Just dinkydorable, I've lots of smaller felt pieces ideal to use up.
Thanks for the link to that challenge blog, too, looks like fun.
