Hi again from Di
I have been scrapping up a storm recently, finding loads of bargain patterned papers and RECYCLING things that I would normally just through away!.
When I attended Jayme Shephard's class (from Making Memories) at the SA Scrapbook Convention on the 1st May we made this cute little mini album by RECYCLING PACKAGING from brads that were in our goodie bag!
This is the outside:
and here is the inside:
Last week I wanted to make a little album for my photographs of the convention so decided to use Jayme's technique. I used the packaging from these brads:
step 1 - cover the outside. I prefer to attach my patterned paper then trim the edges - its much easier than cutting the paper to size.
Step 2 - cover the inside.
Step 3 - punch holes as shown:
The little flaps fit nicely undertneath the overlap:
Step 4 Tie a piece of ribbon though the holes:
Step 5 - cut a few a few pieces of matching PP for the pages and attach using brads .
Step 6 Now just decorate your little pages, the front, back and inside cover!
Step 7 Attach the pages to the inside back cover of the mini book!
This is my finished "Grunged Memoirs mini book":
and the back cover where I chose NOT to cover one little piece
I hope you have lots of fun with this cheap and cheerful technique and RECYCLING!
Thanks for visiting IACW and love from Di X
You always choose such gorgeous rich colours, sumptuous, and I like that you leave a little hint of its origins on the back.
