Hi from Caz.
Well i'm not as far as I thought, considering i'd done 42 squares back on the 26th March. BUT in my defence I have taken a few little breaks to work on some other projects. The crochet corsage and shawl, hanging on the chair with the hat, and my vintage style shawl have been completed in the past two months, so i've not done too badly.
Anyway back to the throw. I am on square 78, and have worked out that I need 196 to make a decent throw for a double bed. I plan to do a few rounds to finish it off which will add a few inches too.
I am loving the colour combinations! The only two colours I have not put together in a square are the gold and navy. They just don't work right next to each other.
I'm running out of combination though so am now looking at doing a whole load of plain squares, at least 5 of each colour. I didn't think I could cope with plain squares but making the vintage style shawl has proved me wrong. And 5 of each colour will go so quick.
Seeing the squares laid out on the bed has given me a glance at how lovely it's going to look in my bedroom, that I can't wait to get stuck in again and get it finished.
I'll be back with more progress on the 28th of July! Ciao.
Thanks for visiting and haPPy hOOking :)

It's such a huge task, I admire your determination (and what a sweet tidy bedside you have), but how worthwhile it will have been when all is done. Look forward to it.
