Here's a nice idea for a card that's a little bit different. It would make a great Mother's Day card and once you've mastered the basics you can decorate anyway you want! Here's how to do it.
First take a piece of cardstock measuring 4" x 12" and mark down the centre of the back with pencil.
Fold each side into the middle to this centre line, as if you're making a paper aeroplane.
Open the cardstock back up, turn it 180 degrees and repeat the folding process.
Open your cardstock out again and fold the two outer edges in to meet the points of the diamond you have created as shown above.
Next turn your card over and fold the edges again into the centre line.
Flatten out the whole thing and then pinch the top and bottom folds at the sides of the diamond inwards. There's your card!
You can decorate your card any way you wish. For mine I used Stampin' Up! A Rose is a Rose stamp set and Baroque wheel with Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal and Old Olive inkpads and Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal and Whisper White cardstock. I finished it off with a couple of flat back pearls from the Pretties Kit. Everything Stampin' Up!
Hope you enjoy having a go at this card. TFL! :O)

Love that paper folding - can maybe use this technique in a mini album I am making!
