It's the first Sunday of the month so we're sharing our January projects! I would also like to welcome Eleanor as our Project 2009 guest!!
My 12 projects for 2009 all focus on our allotment, but each month I'm planning a completely different style of mini-book.The 12 books will eventually be housed in something I bought for a couple of pounds last autumn, from Tesco. It's a little gardening 'handy bag', which I thought was ideal :
The first minibook (6in x 6in) is mainly of fabric, and has a linen cover which I stamped with acrylic paint on my welly, made a signpost from cardstock, distressed to look like wood.
The inner pages are photos printed on calico with paper machine stitched on the reverse to journal on:
In the outer pockets of the bag will eventually be 24 recipe cards (playing card size) 2 for each month, photo of my finished dish on the front, recipe on the back, each one using an ingredient from the allotment:
Finally the back cover, more mud, chipboard, and embroidery:
I hope you will all share my muddy boots and blisters through a year at the Lottie.

Yay I have page one of my 2009 year in review page finished!
As my pages are a review of the month, I have done seperate pages of each event.
My February 2008 page is still a work in progress. I didn't take many photos during the month so I have some journalling prepared, but I now need to get up the courage to put pen to paper.
Don't forget to visit the Project Page for ideas and inspiration!
Thanks for visiting!
