A really quick festive recipe for you to try today!
To make MINCEMEAT SWIRLS you will need:-
- 1 pack of ready rolled puff pastry
- a jar of mincemeat
- a small handful of chopped pecan nuts
- 3 tbsps maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
In a bowl, mix together the mincemeat with the nuts, cinnamon and maple syrup. Lay the pastry out so that one of the longest edges is facing you. Smooth two thirds of the mincemeat mixture over the pastry to cover it entirely.
Take the two shorter edges of the pastry and fold them over to meet in the middle.
Spread again with the remaining mixture, then repeat the folding.
Place the pastry on a tray and freeze for 10 minutes. Remove from the freezer and cut the pastry into 1cm slices, placing flat down on the baking tray. Cook in a moderate oven for around 15 minutes until the pastry is golden brown.
Really quick and tasty and great if you have last minute guests to feed!
Enjoy!

I thought my sister was the only one who actually ate mincemeat. LOL They do look delish, though.
