Good day!!
On a recent trip to Scotland I wanted to journal everyday, while the memories where still fresh in my mind, but I didn't want to phaf about with making a journal before we left. So I had a creative brainwave!
I took a few precut pages, roughly 6x4, as that's the size I would print my photos, and a bulldog clip to hold the receipts, ticket stubs and other memorablia I gathered on the way. And lastly the all important book of postage stamps.
Each day I bought a postcard or three as we were traveling around and journalled my trip. And yes I posted them home to myself. Now this type of travel journal works really well when you are in the UK, or you know that the cost of sending a postcard is the same price from anywhere in the country you are visiting.
Don't forget the date so you can get them in the right order when you get home!
Sometimes I used my pre cut pages if the journalling was too personal for the postie, or if I had lots to say!
I do tend to collect everything and anything!
It was such fun choosing postcards, which lets face it often capture the place you're in better than you could ever imagine! And if it's raining {like it was in Scotland!!} you may not get any decent photos!
Coming home to a pile of postcards on the doormat was also very exciting, it's like living the holiday all over again!
If sending your postcards home seems like too much of a risk, you can always keep hold of them and just stamp them when you get home. If you're like me, you'll have a few of those postmark type stamps in your collection.
For me this was a fun travel journal to make! And I didn't really feel like I took my crafting with me but I still managed to create a journal of all our fab holiday memories to treasure forever!
haPPy dAy!!

I love this idea. I am off to Peru in November and this may just be the answer I am looking for in regard to keeping a journal. Thank you.
