Hi, it's Maria here again and I hope that you well and feeling funky on a Friday.
I thought that I would share one of the Halloween card I made with my girlie wirlies. I was thinking of orange and black for the colour scheme but was told that they had to be pretty and girlie. So no ghoulish ghosties for us and we opted for this rather funky goth girlie instead.
Now, I know that she is *so last year* and there are a heap of new Halloween stamps out there but we are on an economy drive. I am also on a mission to use up my stash so I dug into my supplies. It's so tempting to snaffle all the pretty new stuff but I'm discovering some fab stuff that I'd completely forgotten about.
I used the following to make my card.
* Daniel Torrente stamp
* Two glittery sheets from the DCWV Once upon a time mat stack
* Stazon in the gorgeous shade of Vibrant violet
* A scrap of green and black ribbon
* Cosmic shimmer watercolour paint from Crafter's companion
* A button from my button jar
* My fabulous Fiskars threading water punch from the US - I think they are easier to get over here now
* A sheet of card cut to size and folded with my Ultimate from Crafter's companion
When the paint was dry I painted a layer of Jo Sonja's Opal dust over the top. I love the Opal dust as it is a clear gel full of tiny light reflecting holographic particles. The camera doesn't pick them up that well but it's a lovely effect and makes a change from glitter. You can see some small circles in her hair but they really catch the light in real life. A little goes a long way so it's worth investing in a bottle.
So, it's the It's a creative world call to all you crafters out there .................... USE UP YOUR STASH!!!
I hope that you enjoyed this novice card makers offering. Don't forget that we are a nosey bunch and love to see your creations.

I still love those Stampotique stamps and use them all the time, so as far as I'm concerned they're not "so last year" at all :)
