flower vase

I had picked some flowers from the garden but they all had short stems and all my vases are quite tall, so I put them in a jam jar. They looked really plain so I decided to perk the jar up a bit.

 

I choose my acrylic stamp and inked it using stazon. I placed the acrylic block onto my craft mat and used the lines to line it up. Then carefully but firmly I rolled the jar over the stamp.

 

Now I have to admit that it didn’t work the first time or the sixth time but I used my alcohol blending solution to wipe the jar clean and then just started again or you could use stazon cleaner.

 

When I was happy with the image I used a fine pointed paintbrush and painted with my alcohol inks.

 

You could use this idea for empty prima bottles or you could use it to decorate jars of buttons or ribbon.
