Hello everyone
I hope you're having a lovely weekend in this sweltering english weather.
I thought today i would share with you this layout i did recently.
I am a big fan of filling spaces with large titles and also love large photographs.
Sometimes it works well if you don't need to put any journalling on and just want to fill spaces.
On this occasion it was a simple photograph of my son Corey and his Grandad, a rare photograph!
I've been trying to use up some of my old stuff as well as i tend to buy new stuff and then all my older things get shoved to the bottom of a draw or to the back of the cupboard, sound familiar!
I used the Basic Grey Urban Couture range as the colours matched my picture perfectly. I cut a thin strip and adhered this to the right hand side of the paper and a small piece on the left to fit just underneath the picture.
I matted the photograph onto dark brown cardstock and placed bottom right.
I used BG stickers to add the date to the left of the picture.
For the title i wanted 'Grandad' to be big but didn't have the right colour letters so i used some Imagination Project coaster letters i had in green and inked them brown. Never be afraid to paint or ink existing coloured chipboard etc.. that you might have.
I then used some smaller letters, Autumn leaves ones, for the rest of the title.
I then finished the layout by using some 7Gypsies quotes mounted onto cardstock and then adhered using 3D foam pads. Don't forget, if you have blank spaces on photos it can be nice to attach and embellishment.
Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!
Cath xx
