...yes it's YUMMY, super DELICIOUS, absolutely DECADENT, and EASY to make - MadDi's Chocolate Box Cake.
Do you have a recipe that whenever you make it its a great big hit? Well this is mine. It's so easy to make and requires no cooking, well almost none. LOL.
Here are the ingredients and the recipe, it's so easy you do not really need step by step instructions.
Just in case you cannot read from the photograph:
Ingredients:
-
397g tin of condensed milk
-
200g (7 oz) plain chocolate (dark chocolate) broken into squares
-
100g (3 1/2oz) butter
-
200g (7oz) rich tea or digestive biscuits
-
227 g box of milk chocolates chopped (I used 200g of dairy milk chocolate and cut each square in half)
What to do:
-
Line a 1.2 litre (2 pint) loaf pan with cling film and allow the excess to hang over the edges.
-
Place the condensed milk, dark chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of simmering water; warm through until the mixture is thoroughly melted and mixed. Remove from heat.
-
Place biscuits in a bowl and bash until roughly crushed. Stir into the melted chocolate mixture.
-
Tip in the chunks of milk chocolate and stir well.
-
Spoon the mixture into the loaf pan cover with the excess clingfilm. Press down.
-
Chill for at least 6 hours.
-
Remove from the fridge, remove the film; wait 10 minutes; slice and serve
Here is the cake after being in the freezer overnight - Take it out of the dish and unwrap the cling wrap.
Here is the cake all you have to do now is slice it and watch it disappear!
I seved this last week with fresh rasperries and cream - great colour combnation!
Go on spoil yourselves folks. Believe me you will NOT regret it! LOL
