It's time for more houses, baby.......... altered style!!!!! I had so much fun with this little glass house last year that i decided to make some more.
Materials:
Glass and seaglass, melting pot & tools, UTEE, stamps, archival ink, embossing powders of your choice, non stick heat surface, beads and other embellishments
Getting started:
Start all houses by stamping with black archival ink onto glass. (I used memory glass.) Then gather all of your materials; you'll need to work quickly!!!!!
house 1: paperartsy squiggly ink stamp (*swoon* gorgeous stamps!!!) dried and peeled paint, beads, UTEE, embossing powders
For the first house, I dipped the glass into UTEE. I then added copper embossing powders to my melting pot and dipped the edges of the house into it. Next, I used UTEE to 'glue' paint chips and a heart bead to the seaglass roof. I also used UTEE to 'glue' the roof (seaglass) to the square glass. In between steps, I let the house pieces dry on my non-stick craft mat.
house 2: burned felt hearts and felt lace, utee, embossing powders
I dipped both pieces of glass into clear UTEE. I also lightly dipped both pieces of glass into blue embossing powder. Then I used the UTEE to 'glue' the burned heart and lace trim to the glass.
Using the flash setting, you can see the texture of the UTEE.
house 3: paperartsy squiggly ink stamps, beads, utee, various embossing powders, indian leaf
I followed the same process as for house 1, but this time I added Indian leafing, seed beads and another heart bead to the UTEE-ed glass. This house is also stamped with Paperartsy Squiggly Ink stamps.
house 4: utee, embossing powders, beads, gold mica flakes, tiles
For this house, I mixed embossing powders of all colours with clear UTEE. I then used the UTEE to glue the beads and tiles. Then I covered it with gold mica flakes.
house 5 (and the most challenging one to develop): utee, embossing powders, beads, artgirlz crown, paperartsy squiggly ink stamps, puff paint triangles, paints, pearl mica flakes
I used previously made pieces (puff paint triangles) with embellishments and lovely stamps to create a house for a queen! I added heavy layers of embossing powders and pearl mica to give it character.
Happy playing!!!!!
x Joy
fantastique !! I love the last one !!
