Hi all, today I am making an elasticated charm bracelet using swarovski crystals, fire polished glass beads and handcrafted lamp work beads. You will need:
-
Round nose pliers
-
Flat nose pliers
-
Wire cutters
-
9 1-inch headpins
-
9 2-inch eye pins
-
Silver plated elastic bracelet
-
9 Charms or flat wire spirals (I made my own)
-
9 crystals or fire-polished beads
-
9 Handcrafted lamp work beads (or larger beads of your choice)
I have used the wire wrapping technique for the lamp work beads, there is a good tutorial HERE it has excellent pictures and is very easy to understand.
I bought this set of 12 gorgeous beads from gaslightlampwork they are stunning such beautiful bright colours. The bracelets can be bought from jillybeads, thebeadstore and many other good bead stores.
I used 9 of the lamp work beads on the eye pins wire wrapping at the top and attaching the spiral to the eye at the bottom, making sure you attach the pin to the bracelet before you wrap it, interspacing them with swarovski crystals and fire polished glass beads (all 6mm) on the 1 inch head pins, all of which are just basic loops and the finished result is a lovely, jangly summer bracelet. Have fun and don’t forget to show us any pictures of your bracelets.
