Welcome to Garden Time, a new regular feature on IACW through spring and summer. Although officially it's not quite spring, we need to start thinking about what we are going to grow in our gardens.
I've not been a gardener very long, in fact this year will only be my third attempt (summer) at tending a garden.
So a logical place for a crafter to start is by making and decorating a garden journal and decorating a tin to keep my seed packets in.
I've used Basic Grey 'Stella Ruby' papers which I just love!
The book is divided into sections. Flowers, Vegetable, Herbs and Lessons learnt. If i'm not learning and improving each year, the task is pointless :)
There are loads of pages in each section to write lots of notes.
I found some cute garden charms in HobbyCraft.
The tin is by Basic Grey.
I used the dividers that come with it to make sections for the different seeds (flowers and veg) and also to seperate them by when you sow them.
These tins are so cool cause you can actually take the handle off to cover the top, rather than trying to cut around it.
Don't miss the next episode in our garden program on the 4th of March, where we will talk about how to decide what to grow, and what tools you will need.
haPPy creATing!!
