Woo Hoo. I kind of missed my birthday (THE BIG 60) last year cos I was moving house LOl, But today is just another day...

Woo Hoo again cos it's just a number and to prove it this is me singing my favourite song - 'You don't own me" from "First wives club" ( I am Diane Keaton BTW ) LOL.

The plaited rag wreath I showed on IACW !!! It is now hanging in my space cos I am 'starting to decorate my home for Chrismas!

Hope you all had a great weekend. I did lots of crafting and designing cards so I now need to get stuck in and get them made. I also made some cute little angels wich I will show when I have taken the photographs - they were so easy.

Hi everyone!!!

I have been AWOL for a few days visting a friend in Cape Town. Wow I had such a great time crafting with my dear friend Wild Roze who made me so welcome in her home!

Here are a few shots from Saturday when about 10 of my scrapbooking friends visited a place called "Darling" and then went on for a picnic to a local wine estate... We all had to wear something GREEN or ORANGE so i could not resist wearing my 'Fascinator" which I left behind in the hotel in Brighton and Wild Roze very kindly took home for me - its very reddy orange!

It's all just a game...

Life that is...

Now I NEVER play games on my computer - really but any shot of my computer screen is a challenge!

 

And a very poor shot from Christmas day 2007:

The dentist was fine yesterday - great in fact. I had to find a new dentist after moving from Cape Town in February 2008 and was lucky that my sister's dentist 'Biffy' is just the very best! She is gentle, patient and the ceiling of her surgery is covered with fairies! Some were given to her by my sister.

I have to go back next week Thursday and then probably another 2 visits. Growing up in Scotland in the 1950's I was exposed to the dreaded school dentist - I have only just recovered from my fear of dentists and my teeth (or lack of them) have paid the price. These school dentists have a lot to answer for!

And still remembering - I was so touched this morning visiting your blogs and seeing the wonderful 'Remember' posts. Thank you all for sharing.

This is the prompt today at HSMSHS

Yesterday I heard the news on Facebook that my DD Caz's sisters had emigrated from Durban South Africa to New Zealand.

I thought about them so much yesterday, last night and this morning remembering the wonderful times we had together at Caz's wedding in 2007. I did not know they had emigrated.

So today I am remembering my dear Nina and Chloe and sad that I may never see them again. My thoughts are with my DD Caz who must be devastated that they are now so far away...

But of course remembering does not stop there I had this one very nostalgic shot from my holiday this year. 40 years ago I took my laundry to this very same Laundrette in Abbeyhill Edinburgh. Why do I remember cos one of my really great 'frocks' SHRUNK!!!

And if I have to remember the pain and suffering that goes on around the world I would not survive, but it's good to count my blessings.

And I have just remembered that I am going to the dentist today (Yech), then to the office, then I have a layout to finish for IACW.  so will be quite busy again.

Yesterday I finished my final version of the tender, 34 pages, and sent it off to the team. I was very pleased with the final result! My sister Linda and also went out for breakfast with our friend Moira then did some shopping. A little retail therapy was good for us! We bought our Christmas crackers and they are gorgeous! We also bought a pair of shoes each which will be lovely for summer.

It rained most of the day yesterday so we got very little gardening done.... I was quite glad cos I did not want to spoil my lovely new nails LOL!

The rain brought out the spiders and this little critter emerged - so how CLEAN is my studio!

 

I think he must be dead  cos he is in the same position this morning - guess I had better clean up!i

Today I am starting on the second tender which is due for the 28th November. I am such a busy bee but so enjoying working - really I am.
